FAQ

Please find my FAQ below.

What does a session involve?

Primarily, each lesson will focus on the student’s needs. Specifically, this includes writing skills, reading comprehension and task-based questions. Additionally, if requested, short homework tasks can be given, being marked in the next lesson with feedback given.

Particularly, for GCSE students, I find that exam technique including essay structure and how to approach particular questions, is often requested. Moreover, you can rest assured that the lessons will be tailored to your child’s needs.

Where does the tutoring take place?

All sessions are online. Rest assured, I am experienced in delivering online lessons and can guide my students if they are not used to it. Certainly, I have found it to be a very effective way of learning.

How much do sessions cost?

Please contact me for payment details.

How can I book a session?

You can book a session via email or phone- see ‘Contact’.

Availability?

Monday-Friday plus daytime sessions during holidays. In addition, extra sessions can be booked for catch-up or Exam preparation.

How does online learning work?

Through Google Classroom I am able to deliver the sessions as if in person, with the student able to upload work and access tailored resources. Furthermore, for more information, please click here:

Do you offer intensive catch-up or Exam preparation booster sessions?

Yes I do. Please contact me for further details.

What if I can’t make my session?

Students are expected to attend regularly during term times to ensure consistency of tuition. Lessons will continue during school holidays; these are often daytime sessions. Do please give advance notice (two weeks) of any holidays.

How do I pay?

Monthly payment to be made in advance of lessons, by bank transfer (invoice will be emailed). Additionally, please use your child’s name as a reference, or your own, if the tutoring is for yourself.
